Evita

The movie Evita is about a young woman who grows up as a poor child and dies as a president's wife. The movie is set in the early to middle 1950's. The movie takes place in Argentina. Evita's family was poor for her entire childhood. As a teenager, Evita becomes involved with a popular man. She moves to Buenos Aires which is considered to be the Big City with the man. After arriving in Buenos Aires, Evita becomes a radio and film actress. This allowed her to gradually become more involved with various influential circles. As Evita gained popularity, she became involved with Juan Peron and eventually married him. Peron was elected President of Argentina which made Evita the First Lady of Argentina. Evita becomes an important part of Peron's policies. Evita eventually died of cancer at the age of 33 during the year 1952.

Evita gained a great deal of popularity as she became more involved with different people. Although she was able to accomplish this goal, I do not believe this was the correct and proper method of becoming an influential woman. She did not behave herself in an appropriate manner. I believe that her success was false because she basically cheated her way to the top by becoming involved with various men. However, I believe she was a kind woman because she made an extra effort to help the poor people in Argentina. Therefore, I have mixed feelings about Evita.

El Fin de Semana Pasado

El fin de semana pasado estaba muy interesante. Un dia, yo camine con mi familia y nosotros los perros. Entonces, nosotros fuimos de compras. Mientras estabamos comprando, nosotros encontramos una camisa pastel para la iglesia. Yo estaba buscando para una camisa para mi hermana entonces oi mi madre dijo que nosotros estabamos saliendo. Yo estaba irritada. Nosotros argumentabamos por horas y horas. En domingo, nosotros limpiamos la casa porque estaba sucia.

My Spanish Progress

So far this semester, I have learned a great deal of information in Spanish class. I have strengthened my understanding of information from Spanish 1. I have learned new concepts such as the preterite form of verbs. I have also learned a variety of new Spanish words that will help me to speak more fluently in Spanish. However, I wish that I would have made a better grade during the first six weeks of this semester. Therefore, I am going to work to achieve a better grade this six weeks. I am also going to work harder to learn more about Spanish sentence structure so that I can understand the language better and hopefully make better grades on my assignments. I believe that I have a good understanding of the preterite forms of verbs. However, I do not fully understand reflexive verbs. I am going to work to achieve better grades and learn more in Spanish class this six weeks.

En sabado, yo fui de compras. Estuvo mi cumpleanos el sabado. Yo compre un sueter y los pantalones. Estuve con mi madre y mi hermana. Fue muy bien. Estuvo un viaje interesante. Occurio a las dos de la tarde en sabado. Fuimos al centro comercial de Cross Creek. Lleve una camisa azul y pantalones. Mi hermana estuvo un hermana mala.
